01Methods and purposes of data processing

We inform you that the data will be processed with the support of the following means (electronic and paper) and with the following purposes:

• fulfillment of legal and/or contractual obligations related to business relationships

• fulfillment of tax or accounting obligations
• processing, printing and possible shipment of invoices
• supply of the product/service
• litigation management (contracts, orders, arrivals, invoices)
• customer management (contracts, orders, shipments and invoices)

• protection and safety of individuals
• detection, prevention and control of infringements
• internal control services (security, productivity, service quality, asset integrity)
• electronic payment instruments

02Legal basis

The provision of data is mandatory for all that is required by legal and contractual obligations and therefore any refusal to provide them in whole or in part may result in the impossibility of providing the requested services.

The company processes the optional data of users based on consent, i.e. by explicit approval of this privacy policy and in relation to the methods and purposes described.

03Categories of recipients

Without prejudice to communications made in compliance with legal and contractual obligations, all data collected and processed may be communicated exclusively for the purposes specified above to the following categories of interested parties:

• means of communication used for the promotion of the Work
• consultants and freelancers, also in associated form, as data controllers

04Period of conservation

The compulsory data are kept for the time necessary to carry out the commercial and accounting relationship, in compliance with legal obligations, for the next ten years from the date of acquisition of the same.

05Rights of the interested party

Pursuant to the European Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR) and national legislation, the interested party may, according to the procedures and within the limits established by current legislation, exercise the following rights:

• request confirmation of the existence of personal data concerning them (right of access: art. 15 of the GDPR 679/2016)
• know its origin
• receive an intelligible communication (art. 12 of the GDPR 679/2016)
• have information about the logic, methods and purposes of the processing (art. 15 of the GDPR 679/2016)
• request the updating, rectification, integration, cancellation, transformation into anonymous form, limitation of treatment and blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including those no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected (arts. 16-17-18-21 of the GDPR 679/2016)
• in cases of treatment based on consent, receive their data provided to the holder in a structured and machine-readable form and in a commonly used format — right to portability (art. 20 of the GDPR 679/2016)
• lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority
• revoke at any time the consent freely given to the processing of personal data (art. 21 of the GDPR 679/2016)

08Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not use profiling cookies or third-party analytics tools. Fonts are hosted directly on our servers. The only third-party tool is the advertising measurement tool described below, which is active only with your consent.

Only essential technical elements are used:

• a local storage entry that remembers you have acknowledged the cookie notice, so it is not shown again on every visit;
• the technical elements strictly necessary to display the pages and the agreement.

For the manuscript-submission page linked to our promotional campaigns, we also record, in aggregate and non-profiling form — with no cookies and without storing the IP address — the number of visits, clicks on the email link and successfully submitted forms, along with the country of origin resolved on the fly from the IP (never stored). This data is used solely to evaluate the campaign's performance and is never shared with third parties.

As strictly necessary for the operation of the site, these elements do not require consent under the applicable rules (including the ePrivacy framework and UK PECR).

Advertising measurement (with consent). The manuscript-submission page uses a measurement tool provided by OpenAI (ChatGPT Ads), active only if you accept it through the banner. The tool stores a first-party cookie containing an anonymous click identifier and, once a submission is completed, sends OpenAI a conversion event together with contact details in irreversibly hashed form (SHA-256). The manuscript, the synopsis and the file names are never transmitted. Consent can be refused or withdrawn at any time through the banner or by clearing the site data in your browser; refusing it does not prevent you from submitting your manuscript.
